I Don’t Wear Goggles® is the registered business name for Philippe Maurice Desveaux. I am a sole-trader. This policy explains how your personal information is collected and used in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) for the provision of services as outlined below.

I use various suppliers and frequently work with other professional photographers, most frequently the team at Randy Harry Productions, among others, on an ad hoc basis.

Where your personal information is stored

  • Messages received via the contact form on this website are sent to me by email and a copy is added to a spreadsheet held in a cloud service for backup

  • Social media messages are stored on those platforms’ servers

  • Emails are stored on the servers of my email service provider

  • Payment information is stored by my invoicing, accounting, and payment platforms

  • Responses to online advertisements are stored on the servers of their respective platforms, and a copy is sent to me by email

Some of these platforms store information on servers located in countries other than Australia, and data protection laws differ in those other jurisdictions. Overall, these countries include the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and countries within the European Union. How your personal information is kept secure

Information received and stored for I Don’t Wear Goggles on the Squarespace, GoDaddy, Google, Dropbox, MYOB, Stripe, and PayPal platforms is only accessible using accounts with randomly generated passwords and these require strong two-factor authentication (FIDO2/U2F if available, otherwise TOTP).

Monthly rotated off-site backups of all data are stored in an encrypted format in physically secured premises.

Retention of your personal information

Your information is kept indefinitely, so I can effectively respond to any follow up enquiries.

How to request that your personal information be accessed, corrected, or deleted

Should you require access to, correction, or deletion of your personal information, please contact me. Unless otherwise required by law, I can alter or remove your information from my records at the earliest opportunity. You may also send your requests in writing to:

How to make a complaint

If you have a privacy complaint about information held by I Don’t Wear Goggles® that is unable to be resolved by contacting me directly, you may wish to raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). This option is particularly relevant if you believe there has been a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
